Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography Resins for Protein Purification

Hydrophobic Interaction: Agarose-Based Resins for Salt-Dependent Protein Separation

emp BIOTECH offers agarose-based hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC) resins for the gentle and effective separation of proteins based on surface hydrophobicity. The Zetarose and ZetaCell product lines include phenyl and butyl ligands immobilized on cross-linked agarose solid phases, optimized for use in SMART™ workflows and scalable purification processes.

These chromatography resins are ideal for polishing steps, aggregate removal, and separation of protein variants under salt-dependent conditions. Available in various bead sizes and ligand types, they provide high stability, reproducibility, and compatibility with modern FPLC systems.

Depending on your target and method, other separation principles may be more suitable:

Affinity Resins: For targeted purification of antibodies and His-tagged proteins
Ion Exchange Resins: For charge based separation of proteins and nucleic acids
