Description
Streamlined HIC Separation Using Butyl Ligand SMART™ Resin
ZetaCell Butyl from emp BIOTECH is a hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC) resin engineered for robust and scalable protein purification using SMART™ Chromatography. The resin features large, cross-linked 250 µm agarose beads functionalized with butyl ligands, enabling salt-dependent purification of hydrophobic biomolecules under mild conditions.
Thanks to the proprietary SMART™ resin architecture, ZetaCell Butyl supports unhindered flow of cell-containing feedstocks and minimizes clogging or backpressure in packed bed formats. It is ideal for integration into continuous or batch HIC workflows where consistency, scalability, and compatibility with high-throughput systems are essential.
