TurboTag 673 (DY-675 Protein Labeling Kit)

The TurboTag 673 Protein Labeling & Purification Kit is designed for the labeling and purification of proteins to form protein-dye conjugates having fluorescence-excitation and fluorescence-emission maxima at around 673 nm and 699 nm, respectively.

Description

TurboTag 673 Protein Labeling Kit for Reliable Far-Red Fluorescence Conjugation

TurboTag 673 from emp BIOTECH is a ready-to-use protein labeling and purification kit designed for the efficient covalent conjugation of proteins with the far-red fluorophore DY-675. Optimized for proteins ≥ 25 kDa, including monoclonal antibodies, this kit uses an NHS ester of DY-675 to form stable amide bonds with primary amines. The resulting conjugates emit strong fluorescence with excitation/emission maxima at 680 nm and 699 nm, making them ideal for applications requiring minimal background and high sensitivity.

Each vial delivers 50 nmol of reactive dye, sufficient to label up to 15 nmol of protein. TurboTag 673 is supplied with protocols optimized for labeling both 1 mg and 100 µg of IgG, ensuring reproducibility and ease of use in both small- and medium-scale labeling workflows.

Performance Highlights

  • Efficient fluorescent labeling of proteins ≥ 25 kDa, especially IgG

  • Far-red fluorescence for low-background detection (excitation/emission: 680/699 nm)

  • NHS ester reactivity enables robust covalent bond formation

  • High extinction coefficient (180,000 M⁻¹·cm⁻¹) for intense signal output

  • Pre-optimized protocols for 1 mg and 100 µg of protein

Properties

  • Molecular Weight: 803.98

  • Empirical Formula: C₄₆H₄₉N₃O₈S

  • Absorption [λmax]: 680 ± 3 nm

  • Emission [λmax]: 699 ± 3 nm

  • Extinction Coefficient (ε): 180,000 M⁻¹·cm⁻¹

  • Reactive Moiety: NHS ester (reacts with primary amines to form stable amide linkage)

  • Storage: −20 °C, dry, protected from light

  • Labeling Capacity: Up to 15 nmol of protein per 50 nmol dye vial

Applications

  • Fluorescent labeling of antibodies and large proteins

  • High-sensitivity far-red imaging and detection

  • Multiplex immunoassays
