TurboTag 481XL from emp BIOTECH is a complete labeling and purification kit designed for the covalent conjugation of proteins with DY-481XL, a fluorophore known for its large Stokes shift. The kit is ideal for labeling proteins ≥ 25 kDa—particularly antibodies—using a reactive NHS ester of DY-481XL. The resulting dye-protein conjugates exhibit excitation at 515 nm and emission at 650 nm, providing enhanced signal separation in multi-color fluorescence applications.

Each vial contains 50 nmol of reactive dye, sufficient to label up to 15 nmol of protein. TurboTag 481XL ensures a stable, covalent amide linkage and is compatible with pre-optimized protocols for IgG labeling (1 mg or 100 µg).
