CentriPure 5 – Z50M from emp BIOTECH is a pre-packed gel filtration column designed for efficient removal of salts, dyes, biotin, ammonia, haptens, and other small molecules from biomolecules such as nucleic acids, proteins, and spheroidal nanoparticles. Optimized for 500 µL samples, it enables one-step purification and desalting, delivering fast, reproducible results in less than 15 minutes using gravity flow or liquid chromatography systems.
The column is packed with Zetadex-50 Medium, a cross-linked beaded dextran resin with a particle size of 50–150 µm. The solid phase provides a size exclusion cut-off of ~25 kDa for proteins and ~20 bp for nucleic acids, making it ideal for the processing of DNA, RNA, antibodies, enzymes, and nanoparticles larger than 4 nm. The excluded biomolecules elute in the void volume, free of low molecular weight contaminants. The result is highly pure and desalted product with > 85% recovery and typical small molecule removal efficiency of > 99.99%.
