Description
Versatile IMAC Screening with ZetaSep Columns for Polyhistidine-Tagged Proteins
The SMIRF™ Immobilised Metal Affinity (IMAC) Purification Kit from emp BIOTECH provides a robust, flexible solution for screening optimal metal affinity ligands in His-tagged protein purification workflows. This FPLC-compatible kit includes four 1 mL ZetaSep columns packed with Zetarose Ni-NTA, Co-NTA, Cu-NTA, and Zn-NTA resins, along with a 5 mL ZetaSep desalting column filled with Zetadex 25-SF for final buffer exchange or desalting.
All columns are pre-packed and ready-to-use with standard chromatography systems. The agarose-based IMAC resins are derivatized with nitrilotriacetic acid (NTA) and charged with divalent metal ions, enabling selective capture of 6xHis-tagged proteins. The included desalting column allows for rapid post-capture buffer exchange, ensuring compatibility with downstream analysis or formulation.
