Fast-Track Ion Exchange Optimization with SMIRF™ IEX Screening Kit
The SMIRF™ Ion Exchange (IEX) Purification Kit from emp BIOTECH is a complete solution for rapid discovery and optimization of ion exchange purification strategies. It includes four 1 mL ZetaSep FPLC columns, each packed with a different 6% cross-linked agarose resin: Zetarose CM, DEAE, Q, and SP, covering both weak and strong ion exchangers across cationic and anionic profiles. A 5 mL Zetadex 25-SF desalting column is also included to enable buffer exchange or sample cleanup immediately after elution.
Built for compatibility with most chromatography systems, the kit enables seamless integration into early-stage process development, allowing scientists to compare and select the optimal ion exchange modality for their biomolecule with minimal effort. Each resin is derived from bio-compatible agarose with a 100 µm bead size, offering excellent flow performance and scalability.
