Metal-Free IMAC Platform for SMART™ Chromatography of His-Tagged Proteins
ZetaCell NTA from emp BIOTECH is a large-diameter, cross-linked agarose resin functionalized with metal-free nitrilotriacetic acid (NTA). Specifically designed for SMART™ chromatography, it enables immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC) workflows tailored to your choice of metal ion (Ni²⁺, Co²⁺, Cu²⁺, or Zn²⁺). When charged, the resin selectively captures polyhistidine-tagged proteins from clarified or non-clarified feedstocks, even in continuous or high-throughput processes.
Its SMART™-engineered 250 µm beads allow unhindered flow of cell debris while maintaining robust physical integrity. ZetaCell NTA performs under native or denaturing conditions, supports customizable elution (imidazole, histidine, or low pH), and fits both R&D and production-scale IMAC platforms.
