High-Throughput Anion Exchange for Clarified or Cell-Containing Feeds
ZetaCell Q from emp BIOTECH is a strong anion exchange resin designed for efficient purification of negatively charged biomolecules, including proteins, oligonucleotides, and nucleic acid complexes. Built for SMART™ Chromatography, it enables linear scalability from research to process scale with high flow rates and minimal backpressure—ideal for direct processing of cell-containing feedstreams.
This base is made from large-diameter (250 µm) cross-linked agarose beads functionalized with quaternary ammonium ligands (Q type). The unique bead geometry supports unhindered flow-through of cells and debris, enabling capture and clarification in a single step. ZetaCell Q operates reliably at linear velocities ≥ 2000 cm/h and system pressures up to 3 bar.
