ZetaCell CM from emp BIOTECH is a weak cation exchange agarose resin specifically designed for SMART™ ion exchange chromatography. This cross-linked beaded agarose is surface-modified with a carboxymethyl (CM) ligand, enabling efficient separation of proteins and biomolecules under mild conditions. Its large bead size (250 µm) allows unhindered flow of cell-containing feedstocks, making it ideal for continuous bioprocessing and high-throughput chromatography.
Engineered for SMART™ columns, ZetaCell CM supports high flow rates (≥ 2000 cm/h), operates at pressures up to 3 bar, and provides stable performance across a broad pH range. Its superior physical and chemical stability ensures consistent purification, extended column lifetime, and compatibility with most aqueous buffers.
