Zetadex-50 Medium

Gel filtration matrix. Dry powder. For process purification of proteins and nucleic acids. Bead diameter: 50 – 150 µm (dry).

Description

Robust Size Exclusion for Mid-Range Biomolecule Separation

Zetadex-50 Medium from emp BIOTECH is a dry, cross-linked composite gel filtration matrix engineered for efficient separation of proteins (~25 kD) and nucleic acids (~20 bp). This beaded dextran-based size exclusion resin offers a dry particle range of 50–150 µm and swells to 100–300 µm upon hydration. It provides high resolution, excellent physical stability, and broad chemical compatibility, making it ideal for process purification workflows.
Zetadex-50 Medium separates molecules based on size, ensuring minimal dilution and buffer interference. Its robustness in a wide pH range and compatibility with aggressive buffers such as NaOH, guanidine HCl, and alcohols supports both routine and demanding purification protocols.

Performance Highlights
  • Size exclusion cutoff: ~25 kD (proteins) and ~20 bp (nucleic acids)
