Zetadex-50 Superfine

Gel filtration matrix. Dry powder. For process purification of proteins and nucleic acids. Bead diameter: 20 – 50 µm (dry).

Description

Precision Gel Filtration with High-Resolution Dextran Composite

Zetadex-50 Superfine, developed by emp BIOTECH, is a high-resolution gel filtration matrix composed of cross-linked spherical dextran beads. With a narrow dry bead size distribution of 20–50 µm, this dry powder matrix is optimized for precise size-exclusion chromatography of proteins and nucleic acids in process-scale applications.
The resin provides excellent resolution, chemical robustness, and minimal buffer or pH impact on separation quality. Designed for professional manufacturing and laboratory use, Zetadex-50 Superfine is ideal for purifying biomolecules ranging from peptides to larger proteins and nucleic acid fragments. Its performance characteristics make it suitable for desalting, buffer exchange, and gentle biomolecule separation in aqueous systems.

Performance Highlights
  • Size-exclusion cut-off: ~25 kDa for proteins, ~20 bp for nucleic acids
  • Dry bead size: 20–50 µm (≥ 80% in range)
  • Wet bead size: 40–100 µm
  • Stable in 0.2 M NaOH, HCl, acetic acid, urea, guanidine HCl, SDS, ethanol, and organic solvents
  • pH stability range: 2.0–10.0
  • Autoclavable at 121 °C, pH 7 for 30 minutes
