SMART Chromatography™ Column for His-tag Purification Using Ni-NTA Resin
SMART Chromatography™ Ni-NTA from emp BIOTECH is a ready-to-use column packed with ZetaCell Ni-NTA resin—an agarose-based affinity medium functionalized with immobilized nickel-chelated nitrilotriacetic acid (Ni²⁺-NTA). Designed specifically for SMART Chromatography™, this column enables efficient purification of His-tagged recombinant proteins directly from cell-containing feedstreams without the need for clarification.
The large, highly cross-linked agarose beads (250 µm) provide unhindered flow of particulates while maintaining excellent mechanical strength and low backpressure. Binding is specific and robust, allowing elution under native or denaturing conditions with imidazole, histidine, or low-pH buffers. Its compatibility with SMART Radial Flow Chromatography supports linear scalability from development to manufacturing.
