SMART Chromatography™ Protein A Elevate from emp BIOTECH is a pre-packed FPLC column containing large-diameter beaded agarose resin surface-modified with a NaOH-tolerant recombinant Protein A ligand. Designed for direct purification of antibodies from cell-containing feedstocks, this resin combines robust base stability with uncluttered flow dynamics in SMART™ columns.
The 250 µm cross-linked agarose beads withstand system pressures up to 3 bar and allow cleaning-in-place (CIP) with 1 M NaOH for 15 minutes, maintaining consistent antibody binding capacity across multiple cycles. This makes the column particularly suited for continuous workflows in biomanufacturing environments.
