TurboTag 646 (SemperRed 647 Protein Labeling Kit)

TurboTag 646 Protein Labeling & Purification Kit is designed for the labeling of proteins with molecular weights greater than 25 kD (in particular antibodies), using a reactive succinimidyl-ester of Semper Red647. The conjugates result from the formation.

Description

TurboTag 646 Protein Labeling Kit for Brilliant SemperRed 647 Conjugation

TurboTag 646 from emp BIOTECH is a ready-to-use protein labeling and purification kit designed for efficient fluorescent conjugation with SemperRed 647, a far-red fluorophore. The kit uses a highly reactive NHS ester to covalently attach the dye to proteins via primary amines, forming stable amide bonds. Optimized for proteins ≥ 25 kDa—especially antibodies—TurboTag 646 delivers bright far-red fluorescence with excitation/emission maxima at 647 nm and 665 nm, ideal for multiplex fluorescence applications with minimal background.

Each vial contains 50 nmol of active dye, sufficient to label up to 15 nmol of protein. The kit includes pre-validated protocols for labeling both 1 mg and 100 µg of IgG, ensuring reproducible and fast workflows in research, diagnostics, or imaging.

Performance Highlights

  • Far-red fluorescent labeling of proteins ≥ 25 kDa, including IgG and monoclonal antibodies

  • Strong excitation/emission at 647/665 nm for low-background detection

  • NHS ester chemistry for stable covalent amide linkage formation

  • Ready-to-use format with validated protocols for 1 mg and 100 µg IgG labeling

  • Ideal for fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, and multiplex assays

Properties

  • Absorption [λmax]: 647 ± 3 nm

  • Emission [λmax]: 665 ± 3 nm

  • Reactive Moiety: NHS ester (reacts with primary amines to form stable amide linkage)

  • Storage: −20 °C, dry, protected from light

  • Labeling Capacity: Up to 15 nmol protein per 50 nmol dye vial

Applications

  • Fluorescent labeling of proteins and antibodies

  • Immunoassays and multiplexed detection

  • Flow cytometry and fluorescence imaging

  • Protein tracking and diagnostic workflows
