TurboTag 489XL (DY-485XL Protein Labeling Kit)

Large Stokes Shift! The TurboTag 489XL Protein Labeling & Purification Kit is designed for the labeling and purification of proteins to form protein-dye conjugates having fluorescence-excitation and fluorescence-emission maxima at around 489 nm and 552 nm.

Description

TurboTag 489XL Protein Labeling Kit with Large Stokes Shift for DY-485XL Conjugation

TurboTag 489XL from emp BIOTECH is a high-performance protein labeling and purification kit featuring DY-485XL, a dye with an exceptionally large Stokes shift. Specifically developed for proteins ≥ 25 kDa, including antibodies, the kit uses a highly reactive NHS ester of DY-485XL to ensure efficient and stable conjugation. The resulting protein-dye conjugates exhibit fluorescence excitation at 485 nm and emission at 560 nm, providing enhanced spectral separation and reducing background interference in fluorescence-based assays.

Each kit contains 50 nmol of reactive dye, enabling labeling of up to 15 nmol of protein. TurboTag 489XL supports covalent bond formation through NHS ester chemistry and is compatible with emp BIOTECH’s optimized protocolsfor 1 mg or 100 µg of IgG.

Performance Highlights

  • Efficient labeling of proteins ≥ 25 kDa, especially antibodies and enzymes

  • Large Stokes shift (excitation/emission at 485/560 nm) minimizes spectral overlap

  • NHS ester chemistry ensures covalent, stable protein-dye conjugates

  • Label up to 15 nmol protein per 50 nmol dye vial

  • Compatible with pre-validated IgG labeling workflows (1 mg / 100 µg)

  • Ideal for high-sensitivity fluorescence detection and multiplexing
