TurboTag 554 (DY-554 Protein Labeling Kit)

The TurboTag 554 Protein Labeling & Purification Kit is designed for the labeling and purification of proteins to form protein-dye conjugates having fluorescence-excitation and fluorescence-emission maxima at around 556 nm and 579 nm, respectively.

Description

TurboTag 554 Protein Labeling Kit for Bright DY-554 Conjugation

TurboTag 554 from emp BIOTECH is a comprehensive labeling and purification kit designed for covalent conjugation of proteins with the DY-554 fluorophore. This kit enables efficient labeling of proteins ≥ 25 kDa—especially antibodies—using a highly reactive NHS ester of DY-554 dye. The result is a stable amide linkage between the dye and primary amines on the protein, forming robust fluorescent conjugates.

TurboTag 554 conjugates emit a bright fluorescent signal with excitation at 551 nm and emission at 572 nm, ideal for applications in immunoassays, fluorescence imaging, and diagnostic workflows. Each 50 nmol dye vial is sufficient for labeling up to 15 nmol of protein, and pre-optimized protocols are available for both 1 mg and 100 µg of IgG.

Performance Highlights

  • Effective fluorescent labeling of proteins ≥ 25 kDa, including IgG

  • Strong fluorescence signal (excitation/emission at 551/572 nm)

  • NHS ester-based covalent bonding ensures stability and reproducibility

  • Compatible with standard protocols for IgG and monoclonal antibodies

  • Streamlined labeling and purification in a single kit
