Scalable Desalting and Purification of Biomolecules in 5 mL Format
The CentriPure 50 – Z25M column from emp BIOTECH delivers fast and efficient gravity-driven purification and desalting of biomolecules in 5 mL sample volumes. Engineered for proteins larger than 5 kDa, nucleic acids longer than 10 bp, and spheroidal nanoparticles >2 nm, this column removes small molecular contaminants such as salts, dyes, haptens, ammonia, and biotin in a single step—no centrifugation or vacuum required.
Each column is packed with Zetadex-25, a cross-linked beaded dextran resin with an effective exclusion limit of ~5 kDa. Molecules larger than the gel pores elute quickly in the void volume, while smaller contaminants are retained, enabling >99.99% removal efficiency with >85% recovery of target molecules and ~1.5-fold dilution. The prehydrated, ready-to-use format supports rapid sample preparation and reproducible results in under 15 minutes.
